Tuition Scholarships

The purpose of the HMS Scholarship Fund is to help keep our quality, Christ-centered education as accessible and affordable as possible to families in this community. Each year over $250,000 is awarded to over 60% of HMS families.

HMS scholarship eligibility and awards are based on household income and family need. HMS also offers a pastor scholarship to licensed or ordained pastors. In addition to HMS scholarships, some churches provide tuition assistance to members of their congregation. To find out if your church participates in this program, contact your church office or HMS Director of Enrollment, Melissa Beidler.

Scholarship applications are due to the school office by April 15. Applications will be accepted after that date as scholarship funds are available. Scholarship award letters and tuition payment information are mailed in May.

For application forms & information, including scholarship applications, visit the Admissions page. For scholarship applications and more information about the scholarship program and your family, contact Melissa Beidler, Director of Enrollment at 354-7100 x1002 or mbeidler@hinkletownschool.org.

Tuition Scholarship Funding

HMS scholarships are funded primarily through the Education Improvement Tax Credit and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit. These are state of Pennsylvania tax credits available to incorporated businesses, partnerships or limited liability companies.

Many local business owners have made generous contributions benefiting the HMS Scholarship program. These businesses can receive up to a 100% tax credit against their PA income tax for contributions made to a qualifying scholarship fund.

For more information about how your business can participate in this program, contact Maria Chase, Advancement Coordinator, at 717-354-7100 x1005 or mchase@hinkletownschool.org.
